Infrastructure works for Pembrokeshire Food Park

GD Harries and Sons have completed major infrastructure works for the Pembrokeshire Food Park.

The project, which was funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), was set up to provide new production facilities for existing businesses as well as encourage new start-ups to access the market. Located at the Withybush Business Park, the new food park will help to boost Pembrokeshire’s food and drink industry by offering a shared distribution network and transport hub.

Councillor Paul Miller, Cabinet Member for Economy, Culture, Leisure and Tourism said, “Pembrokeshire is already well known for its high quality, locally produced food.” He encouraged potential start-up businesses to consider the new Pembrokeshire Food Park and said that the Park would have a major impact on the local economy.

GD Harries have played a key part in the project, which included building estate roads, improving the development land and constructing incubator units.

The Pembrokeshire Food Park is located within the Haven Waterways Enterprise Zone and is a key priority for the Enterprise Zone Board.
