Cymru Quarry Group are suppliers of granite & limestone aggregates, asphalt, readymix concrete, liquid screed as well as construction services such as road resurfacing & civil engineering, operating all over Wales.

We supply quarried materials, stone, concrete, readymix and tarmac from seven granite, limestone and sandstone quarries, three asphalt plants, eight concrete plants. We also deliver multimillion pound infrastructure projects and suppling the majority of the labour as well as the materials from our own resources. Our employees are skilled in road surfacing, paving and utilities works.

The Role:

Subject to passing a drugs and alcohol test.

Experience of operating (On site training available for a person with transferable skills)

  • ADT Articulated Truck or Rigid
  • Loading Shovel (FEL)
  • Dump Truck
  • Excavator
  • Some Manual work will be involved around the site static & mobile plant
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
  • Working at other site to meet the needs of the business.

Work Location: In person

Reporting to the Head of the Electrical Department the successful candidate will:

  • Ensure breakdowns are repaired efficiently
  • Deliver preventative maintenance to avoid downtime
  • Ensure safe motor maintenance and panel maintenance
  • Assist with the installation of electrical projects
  • Safely operate a variety of equipment from motor control and switch gear to conveyors and PLCs
  • Possess excellent fault finding skills, be solution focused, flexible and motivated
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and safe standards of operations
  • Hold a time-served apprenticeship
  • Be computer literate
  • Have experience and relevant qualifications to be able to work in heavy industry
  • 2391 inspection and testing
  • 17th/18th edition of BS 7671
